Raised on Memphis revival sounds and the mystical teachings of DJ Smokey, Louka started crafting beats in total isolation, slowly ascending to his final form: Street Shaman of the Internet. What began as a collective of basement-dwelling geniuses has become a full-blown cultural hex, with their iconic "we love casting spells" tagline spreading like wildfire across TikTok and beyond.

GUSH got the rare chance to speak with Louka about the wizard economy, raves as modern rituals, his dangerously high dry sausage consumption, and whether pigeons are government drones or just really bad at making eye contact.

ARE YOU A MUSIC PRODUCER OR A CULT LEADER?

A bit of both, more of a street shaman perhaps. Listening to music regularely is maybe the closest form of ritual allowed to be performed in the modern world where religion is erased. That’s why late night raves hold such a powerful experience, with or without the use of drugs.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE THE OFFICIAL CEO OF MAGIC AND MONEY?

Feels good to be free from working a job or being a criminal, much sacrafices were made to be in that position. I never tought I could do it.

yOUR FEED IS CRACK WHO DOES YOUR VISUALS?

I do all of my visuals always. But my friend leomatrx helps a lot with my music videos as he films and edits with me. I worked with a bunch of talented video guys like emenard and touchemoipas100k But I’m always in the creative director seat

LOWKEY FAVORITE SNACK?

Jalapeno takis with guacamole perhaps...Lightelf put me on to that. But I eat a lot of dry sausages, its like 45% of my alimentation as I usually only eat one meal a day.
